Clearance Requirements
We were asked to carry out this clearance by the son of a man who was going in to sheltered accommodation. The property had not been empty very long and that everything in the house was to be donated or recycled.
Clearance Overview
We were required to clear everything from the property. We also had to disconnect washing machine and an electric cooker (which our trained staff done). The family had taken everything from the property that was required and so had left us with the rest of the contents. Parking was ample and off street.
Disposal of Contents
In this case all of the furniture and white goods where of a decent standard, unfortunately no local charity’s had the capacity to take them so we had to return them to our recycling centre to be donated later. As the team sorted out the house contents they found an old purse containing a large amount of old money and also a jewellery box containing a locket that had belonged to their late mother and had huge sentimental value. Both of these items the customer knew nothing of the locket had been lost years ago and he believed the cash had been his mothers who had passed away some 2 years earlier.
