A council worker in Mill Lane in Setchey, Norfolk was left rattled after discovering an exotic corn snakes left abandoned on the side of the road alongside some fly tipped kitchen cupboards.
The non native corn snake measured about 3 foot in length but can grow to over 6 ft and fangs. Thanks to the council workers quick reactions of gathering the snake up and taking it to a local rescue centre, the snake was noticed and cared for in the correct manor.
With the snake being found so far away from home and alongside fly tipped kitchen units RSPCA officials had said that Everything adders up to it being abandoned along with the rubbish.
Last year the RSPCA was called in to collect 807 exotic pet snakes. More than 450 of these were thought to be former pets that had either escaped or been deliberately dumped or released.
